we stayed only 3 days and we find room and bathroom clean and comfortable, even if the door of bathroom had got a little problem ...opening it required much patience for the terrible sound it made! we payed total price for 3 nights at the arrival, and breakfast was very good, with tea or coffee, croissant, toast, butter and marmelade, no english breakfast was offered. Beds were made every day and all was clean, moquette apart! we always recommend to walk with shoes or socks, as afterall in every hotel. If I would return in London maybe I'd come in this Hotel. We stayed there for 2 nights (standard room with double bed and sharing bathroom with another 3 rooms), we don't think we will be going to stay there again although the location is quite good and the price is reasonable because the room and the so called "double bed" (it's only a little bit bigger than single bed) is extremely small!!! And you can clearly hear people chatting in the next room... horrible! Oh god!

if you don't need a luxury room, this hotel is perfect. cheap, clean, very nice neighborhood with lots of nice cafes and nearby victoria station. the room was a bit old and small but I had a perfect stay!

The furniture and decor in the room were old fashioned and smelly. the bed cover was stained. We only stayed for one night so it was adequate, continenal breakfast was good but I wouldnt want to have been staying any longer. I will not be going back.

As a moderately priced hotel the Caswell was better than we expected. Centrally located, Friendly and competent staff, clean enough, better than usual breakfast. Our room was quiet, albiet brightly lit. The only complaint I have is that the cord to the permanently attached blow dryer was a frayed fire hazard. Overall, I would definately recomment this hotel to travellers on a budget.

+ Helpfull and friendly staff. Good continental breakfast, great location to Victoria and bus routes into central London. Good value for money, I would use this hotel again! Recommend it to others for a good budget small hotel. - Old and worn out furnitur

Breakfast is adequate but limited in variety. There is no lift, which can be a challenge if your room is on the 5th floor. The rooms tend to be very small. Our TV didn't work properly and was never fixed despite the length of our stay. On the bright side, the hotel is very well situated, is cheap, and is generally quiet. The staff are courteous and polite. The Caswell Hotel is really an example of "You get what you pay for". If you just want somewhere cheap and central, where you can crash at night, with a few basic facilities, then this is the place.

We stayed two nights here. The room was small but clean. We noticed a bad smell when we had the window open (window facing the street) and it seems there is a sewer pipe open in the street so sometimes some bad smells waft in. The hotel personnel were friendly and accomodating. I did request a double bed in my notes on the reservation but they gave us two single beds. In the end after I showed them my reservation printout with my note, they offered us a double bed but it was at the top of the fourth walk up floor so we ended up preferring the single beds mid floor.
