good breakfast, toilet was not clean when I checked in, a)the door of the room did not close properly & need extra effort, (once it was left open) b)there was a 1,5 cm gap between the floor & the lower part of the door allowing light, air & sounds from the corridor & maybe a non-discreet eye to see inside the room without too much effort.

I did like the interior with exception of the bed linen. I do not like the way just to cover the blanket with a sheet - I do always look for hotels that offer fully covered blankets. Besides that I had an extremely small room I could not even open my suitcase properly - because the only space available was the one in front of the bed and then I had only 5 cm left between bed and suitcase and this made it difficult to move around in the room.

Good Value - Nice Neighbourhood This hotel is a little hard to find from Paddington (though maybe that's down to my failure in procuring a proper map) but once arrvied I was very impressed by this boutique hotel. The reception is bright, clean and impressive. The bar adjoining the reception looked very relaxed, modern and trendy. Staff were polite and helpful although I had to repeat myself a number of times as the receptionist's english wasn't as fluent as one should expect. Ordered room servcie - limited menu and went for burger and fries - which werel uke warm and disappointing (bottle of heineken wasn't the codest either). Room was compact and bright. It was unusually on a split level which was nice as I happily sat on the sofa and watched TV on the lower level on arrival. Bed was comfortable and the bathroom was small, but spotless and modern nonetheless. Central Line tube station was a five minute walk, and hyde park is on your doorstep. Recommended

Would stay at the Caesar again. The Caesar is a nice hotel in a quiet neighborhood. The room was very small, but it was clean and the bed was comfortable. The hotel staff was friendly from check-in to check-out. The Caesar is located near Paddington station giving you easy access to Heathrow and the rest of London.

Very small but comfortable room, decent continental breakfast and good evening meal. Short walk to Paddington station. I would stay there again.

I would not stay here until the hotel introduces a strict no smoking policy throughout the hotel and completes its refurbishment. Whilst the rooms are small this didn't bother me. What did was the absence of a hygiene factor and the stench in the rooms. It might be OK for those who don't find sleeping in an ashtray a challenge.

We had a ground floor room, which was located above the kitchen area. Once work started in the kitchen, the volume of the ever-present PA music in the hotel, went up in the kitchen. And to a much loder level than acceptable. It woke us at 6 in the morning, and lastest till 11 at night. It was like having a radio on at mediumvolume in your room, but not finding it or being able to turn it off. When we complained to the managment about it after the first night, they at first didn't believe us, but when we insisted they reluctantly agreed to move our belongings (which we packed) to another room later that day. Upon returning they of course had not moved us and we were still in the same room. Another battle at the front desk, and then we were finally given a key to the last available room. Which was about the size of a cupboard and swamped with cigarette smoke. Back at the front desk they told us the whole hotel held a strict non-smoking policy. Yeah, right! So we decided to spend a second night in our same room after all, PA-music included free of charge. The on this site mentioned complimentary bottle of wine is also non-existent. Never again at these rates!
