Small but very pleasant room. Clean and well furnished. Perhaps the most comfortable hotel bed we have ever slept in! Can recommend. Will use again.

Overall, this hotel is only OK! the location was good, the room was nice, spacious and clean, but and this is a big but, the level of customer service was poor to extremely bad and rude at times and for this reason alone I would not return to this hotel or recommend it to anyone..

Last used this hotel over 20 years ago when it was the Bonnington. It has undergone much modernisation which has reduced the 'character' but it remains a good place to stay especially for anyone needing to be near Bloomsbury

Good location, just a very small room

There was a wedding on the night I stayed and I couldn't sleep initially as I was directly above the wedding reception. However, I called reception and they moved me to two further rooms, once of which was overlooking the main road and was noisier. I could still hear the wedding in the room I finally ended up in, but I did sleep. The staff are excellent and were very helpful and did their best to find me a quiet room. Some rooms are tight spacwise. The breakfeast is fine as well. I think Holburn tube station is a better one for the hotel, but that isn't mentioned on the site. I will definitely use that hotel again. For the money you can't beat it.

London’s Best Hotel Hotel is in a nice location in central London. Very convenient to the two underground train stations (Russel Square and Holborn). Walking distance to the British Museum. Good hotel in good location. Handy for Kings Cross station (approx £8.00 via taxi one way). Breakfast was good and staff very attentive. Rooms had been refurbished and although not huge had were clean and had modern facilties (flat screen television, new bathroom etc). Would definitely recommend.

Short stay in London, excellent location and the room was much more than I had expected. Can understand why it is only 3 star though, as the room is already rather worn-down despite a recent renovation.

Clean but definitely not 4 stars This hotel was rated as 4 stars. Based on my experience in the US (I am American), I would give it a 3 star. The hotel was undergoing renovation, which obviously is unavoided. However. they were supposed to have wifi and I had 2 devices that failed to connect. That is a problem for business travelers given that they have no other internet access in the hotel. They also had a printer which was broken. Also not expected in a 4-star hotel. The night manager was kind enough to let me use his office computer since I couldn’t get on. That was certainly beyond the call of duty. The room was clean and modern. Nice decor. No complaints there. All in all, it was a fine stay, just not as advertised.
