Blandford Hotel

The hotel was everything I expected for a budget hotel in central London. The location was excellent.

My girlfriend and I stayed at the hotel on the weekend of the Live8 concert so were looking for location and a reasonable price. Although we had some reservations after reading reviews from the internet of the place being slightly run-down we found on arrival that the builders were literally just leaving after a total refurbishment. The rooms although small are brand new and have all the necessary appliances (iron/board, coffee facilities, hair dryer). We also left our car park ticket in the room and the staff went through bins to find it so could not have been more helpful. It is located just off Baker Street so is easy to find by car from the A40, is 30 seconds from Baker St tube station and is on a street of beautiful architecture. Highly recommend it!

We stayed at the Blandford Hotel over the weekend of 12-14 August 2005. The hotel has been recently redecorated. It is very clean and has pleasant friendly staff. The en-suite room had flat screen TV and internet access, as well as iron and ironing board, coffee/tea making facilities and a safe. The breakfast was ample. The hotel is a 2 minute walk from Baker Street station which serves many underground lines. To summerize, it is clean and tidy, with a warm welcome and also offers good value for money. We would recommend it, and would stay again.

The impression you get when booking a hotel on-line can be misleading.

After staying at 4 and 5 star hotels that didn't meet our expectations, we stayed at the Blandford in desperation. We were so surprised! It looks at little shabby on the outside, but inside it was new and clean. It had everthing you could want including a wonderful breakfast. It had a real king sized bed and flat screen TV. It is just across from the Baker Street tube station.

My husband and I stayed at the Blandford for 2 nights in late October. It is in a great position very near Baker Street tube, walking distance from both Regents Park and Oxford street. Lots of varied places to eat nearby. We had an early morning surprise when the fire alarm went off, but that din't spoil our stay. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We would definately stay here again.

The staff was very kind, the hotel is located near tube stop. They first gave me a horrible room, but they changed as soon as I asked

The hotel is clean. Rooms are small in size. Location is excellent.
