On my arrival i found out i had been given a very bad, basement, smocking room. After my complaint the recepcionist kindly moved me to a nice and well ventilated room on the 2nd floor. I had a pleasent time at the hotel and next year i intend to return f

+ Room ok - Rude greeting: receptionist /manager aware if my arrival at desk, ignored me to continue his admin for rather a long time; sullen manner and then didn't answer my questions about an apparent problem with my booking; said little beyond "sign here and here," and "credit card please"; no smile, greeting or details provided about facilities or breakfast; impression given that i was a nuisance and plenty more like me would follow so pleasantries altogether unnecessary; the poorest greeting at a best western hotel i've ever known. younger staff the next day were far more helpful and well mannered though.

+ Location is this hotel's only benefit; the Swiss Cottage Tube station is very near. - there is no refregerator in the room

Nice location and private The antique furniture in the lounge area of the hotel room was a bit uncomfortable for relaxing on

The hotel is in a great location 3 minutes walk to the Swiss Cottage tube station, heaps of restaurants and shops. The room was very large for being so close to central London. Staff were pretty helpful and were happy to mind our luggage after we had checked out so that we could do more sight seeing before we picked up our hire car and left London. The area around the hotel is very nice, with a theatre and a drama school and mainly residential. We paid 79 pounds per night as opposed to the published room rate of 139 pounds (or thereabouts) and it was good value at that price. If I could get that kind of rate next time, I would certainly stay at the Swiss Cottage again. The mattress was dreadful, it gave me a bad back after 3 nights, although my partner was OK so maybe it was just me! It was also on rollers and made lots of noise when the bed moved. The breakfast was poor for the price, particularly if you just wanted continental and not full. We went to breakfast once and after that we walked to the cafe around the corner and had a nice meal for less money.

A nice hotel with basic small rooms. I loved the location of the hotel in a quiet residential area, just steps away from the swiss cottage metro. I found the staff polite and professional.

    - over priced, wold consider it a bed and breakfast, not a hotel. The staff did their best bt the hotel needs refurbishment. The plmbing needs a lot of work.
