A very pleasant stay in idilic surroundings - you forget your on or near busy area & the traffic noise is almosy non-existant

This hotel was a converted barn turned into hotel rooms (clue is in the name). The room we had, while a little on the small side had everything we needed, although the nature of the location within the courtyards meant for privacy it was necessary to close the curtains. The courtyard was nice, idyllic even, and my girlfriend and I had afternoon tea (scones, cakes, tea etc) on it. It is very close to Ruislip underground station (and making use of the alleyways it is even closer). The only negative for the time there was the restaurant service. Said afternoon tea took 57 minutes to arrive, Dinner, which again was very nice, was a little slow. They said that the guy in was new. Other than that, the place was really nice to get away from it all without actually leaving London!
