The stay was generally ok. It was cheao & cheerful. The fact that you have to check out at 10pm is bad. Also they do not have extra keys so if you lose your keys you're in trouble. I didnt like the fact that you had to stay in one room one day & aonther room the other day. I was given a horrific little bow room on my second day. I did complain & they gave me another room which not much bigger in size but a little better.

We chose this hotel because it was the cheapest we could find - for a hotel this cheap absolutely ok! Small room, not perfectly clean, but what we expected. No problem to check in late. Very close to Victoria Station and nice pubs in the area. Choose this hotel if you want something not expensive and if you're planning not to spend your time in your room but in fantastic and exiting London!!!

The carpets are too dirty and smelly.

I did not actually stay at the Alexander House hotel - when I turned up the front door was locked and I had to ring a bell. After a few seconds the receptionist appeared from the Holly House down the road, where the reception for several of the hotels seems to be located. I was given the key for my room, which I was told was in the Annexe House hotel. Breakfast was served in the Cedar House. My room was excellent, particularly for the price. It was cleaned daily and had a TV (albeit with an indoor aerial so the picture was a bit fuzzy). Overall very pleased.

My family was not together .My son was moved to another building and my teenage daughter was housed on the top floor whilst my husband and I were on the bottom floor. There was very little space to put clothing and my son was unable to hang a suit properly .

Great location for people using Victoria Coach Station or Train Station. Room was fine, pretty small but ok for a good nights sleep. Bathroom was tiny but a shower is a shower really. Our room was on the train line but didn't turn out to be too noisy. Overall stay was good.

Very poorly run hotel, found it to be very unclean frayed carpets etc. Extremely claustrophobic bathroom, no tea or coffee facilities in the bedroom (if you can call it a bedroom). Poor lock on the door, came off whilst I was trying to open it. Very bad lighting, rubbish view. Very disappointed. Had it not been where I wanted it to be I wouldn't give it a second look. Would not recommend this hotel to any human being, this is below standards of a hotel.

Hotel was not what we expected.

Expected to stay at Alexander House but due to "unexpected rain" we got moved to Golden Star Hotel, where we were given an en suite room for the price of the non-ensuite room. Thought this was a good deal but the hotel didn't seem finished - the shower wouldn't drain properly, the towels were filthy, the lock on the bathroom door was broken, the TV didn't work and most of the furniture seemed broken. However, the hotel is in an excellent location, so for the price we paid it's not too bad.

I booked the hotel as part of breakaway for Mr. & Mrs. Paud Murphy. Whilst I cannot answer the questions above, I collected them from the Airport on their return and they were very pleased with the accomodation in every respect. It was very pleasing for me having booked it 'blind' and would certainly recommend to anyone enquiring for a location to stay in London. They particularly said it was clean, comfortable, very central and easy to access. Yours.....David P. Barry
