Previous reviews prepared us for the stay ie. No parking, no tea/coffee facilities in the room, continenal breakfast - So our stay was great and just what we had imagined!! Nice location ( we went to BBC Centre) and rooms very clean, small but ensuite, ideal for a short stay and staff very friendly :)

The owner was fun, and made us feel very welcome.

The room was damp and unclean. The management was poor. The promised breakfast was not provided and the kitchen was locked preventing anyone from even getting a coffee (no provision for drinks in the bedroom). I have stayed in MANY hotels - never before have i been refused breakfast. It also puts me off your online booking service if you include hotels offering such poor service.

Better directions would have been helpful. We were given a choice of rooms, very friendly, nice bedroom and shower/toilet. Breakfast was good.

The publicity states free and ample parking but there is not any. Publicity states a warm family-run hotel but it is more like a DSS hostel.

Parking was not ample, room was grubby, bathroom (broom cupboard more like) had holes in the ceiling filled with bits of toilet paper. Shower was broken. Old bed creaked constantly. No tea or coffee facilities in the room. The hotel manager was a bit too friendly (Guest House Paradise springs to mind). Didn't seem to know where anything was. Left as soon as humanly possible in the morning, didn't want to sample the delights of breakfast! DSS hostel type atmosphere.
