Excellent Stay Be cautious of theater ticket booths; some may target tourists in misrepresenting seats (claim: "best in the house"--reality--worst in the house). One way to protect yourself is to buy tickets at the theater--you may not get a discount, but the theater will genuinely describe the seats. Having fallen victim, we consulted the police, who told us some of the ticket booths were known to be "dodgey" but there was no practical recourse.

Nice rooms - loo down the hall. Cozy. Tv room on the first floor. Great english breakfast each morning. Only drawback is the steep stairs and there can be 5 flights if you're on the top floor.

The apartment was nice. Relatively clean. Kitchen was outdated and very small. Overall, however, we were pleased with the place. The location was excellent. We could see the flag on Buckingham Palace from our window. Service was good, but...

Excellent Stay We stayed in the Buckingham 51 suites, which have a separate entrance from the main hotel. Our experience was excellent. Family suites are difficult to find in London, and we deliberately sought a hotel offering this service. We had a modern, well-designed, and impressively outfitted suite. We were pleasantly surprised by the comfort and space available, which nicely accommodated our teenage children. The staff was helpful and courteous throughout. Though pricey--as is just about everything in London--Buckhingham 51 met our highest expectations.
