Hotels in London run the full range from luxury five star dwellings, fit for the stars, to cheap hostels for backpackers. Even right in the centre of town it is possible to find a cheap place to stay for the night, often in old Georgian buildings on famous streets that have featured in books or films. At the other end of the scale, some of the most famous London hotels include grand old dames such as the Ritz, the Savoy, the Dorchester and the Langham. Afternoon tea at the Ritz is an institution in which all tourists in the city should partake at least once.
