Hotel La Chancla
Paseo Maritimo El Pedregal, 64 - 29017 Málaga
Hotel Cohíba is a small and friendly three-star-hotel set in a pedestrian area on the sea front of Pedregalajo, a traditional fishing quarter of Malaga. It is the only lodging in the capital of Malaga that can boast of such a particular location, on the sea shore, where you can find all the peace you need within the city centre. The hotel's luxurious guest rooms offer a comfortable and sophisticated atmosphere for relaxing after a long day of work. In order to make your stay with us even more pleasant, we serve a full buffet breakfast each morning. At all times, our courteous and helpful staff is ready to satisfy all your needs. Furthermore, it is located in a typical fisherman neighborhood, where you can enjoy the wonderful sunsets at the solarium, enjoy the sauna, and take an outdoor hydro massage at the terrace-bar.

+Great location, away from the busy downtown and right on the beach. The hotel bar was the most happening place on the beach every night. If you are a runner you can step out of the hotel and run for miles along the pedestrain walkway down to the marina or into Malaga central. The location is perfect for a bit of relaxation while still being somewhat centrally located; the area around the hotel has many places to eat and drink. The hamburquita stands around the corner have fantastic sandwiches for a quick grab and go. The staff were excellent and very friendly, there are a couple waitstaff that speak english, but for the most part you'll need to brush up on your Spanish. There was a English girl that worked the bar at night who was very helpful with advice about the area. We had a great stay and have no complaints about the hotel and will stay here again if we make it back to the area. -Getting to/from the hotel to Malaga central can take a couple trips to get down pat, but this is a minor issue. Take bus 11 during the day (1 euro/per person), and look for the N1 at night as it takes fewer stops. I would suggest that the hotel list the stop name/number nearest to their location since the stop annouced on the bus didn't match what was listed on the route map.

+Friendly staff. Super location by the sea. -Not a dislike at all but a shame I couldn't have a seaview room at the front.

+the location - right on the beach. -the hotel staff were also the bar staff, whilst very willing to help had a very limited understanding of english and were very busy serving drinks without the additional task of looking after guests wanting to find out about facilities around. The back rooms are dark and uninviting, however, the front rooms looked very nice.

+The location of this hotel is fantastic. Real Spain with lots of Spanish families and locals around which means value for money. Friendly staff. Good service. Free bottled water and fresh fruit in the rooms each day -Room rate was over priced. The hotel would benefit from a bit of a face lift especially the rooms

+Staff friendly although only one or two understood English however you could make yourself understood, fun trying -Be aware of no car park and the taxi drops guests on main road but it is only 3 minutes walk, cases with wheels essential.
