Don Curro Hotel Malaga
Sancha de Lara, 7 - 29015 Málaga
The Don Curro is a family Hotel, with great prestige in Malaga. New generation and continual refurbishment are reflected in the warm atmosphere and modern installations. Right in the centre of town, the Hotel is just round the corner from the Cathedral, and only a few minutes walk from the Picasso Museum, Roman Theatre and other places of interest. Larios Street, the economic and commercial centre, is 50 metres away. The rooms are continually refurbished, and the decoration is a blend of classical and modern, with fine woods and marble plus the latest technology. The comfortable restaurant serves typical Mediterranean dishes, including fried fish, fresh daily. There is an economic set menu. Another outstanding feature is the Room Service. The kitchen operates until 2 a.m., 3 a.m. on the eve of holidays. Desserts and cakes are prepared daily by artesan pastry cooks, and specialities include chocolate and orange cake. They also prepare rolls, buns and breakfast items. Opossite Thalaya's Port.

Some of the double bedded rooms are small, and the beds are smaller than average. Best to opt for a twin bedded rooms which are larger. Noisy at night if your room is next to a lift. Staff on reception are totally straight-faced and unwelcoming. Even

Finally came across a tourist bureau that gave up complicated but helpful directions, winding around the Cathedral.

We have stayed here on a few previous occasions for the convenience of the hotel location.Staff are largely efficient although not particularly friendly at reception in particular.Notwithstanding this, the hotel has good facilities for a city centre short stay.

+Staff were efficient and unobtrusive which is what i liked. The location was excellent. -Our room overlooked a bank next door whose air con was noisy at times. Our air con did,nt work which i did,nt mind in January but would need in warmer months. All in all a good hotel but needs some improvements.

The reception staff smile very little. They also switched off the airconditioning 2 nights running (??) and on questioned mentioned it was to economise!!! This when I was paying for an airconditioned room. Switched it on when i called them. Good points were the location and the valet parking. Difficult to navigate through the one way streets of Malaga to reach the hotel.

Excellent service. The reception desk went out of his way to bring my passpart to the Airport in a few minustes. That was very heartening to know they understand my predicament. All the best to them.

+The cleanliness and efficiency of the hotel. A wonderful, central location! -Some explanation as to how the air conditioning worked. We were sometimes too warm during the night
