Very nice hotel, near the train station un the center and not far from bus station. Also very near department store El Corte Ingles. It is 7-8 min walk to the Alcazaba and city center. Very clean. Only negative thing is lack of the fresh air in the rooms which look to skylight.

+the receptionist was involved in a private telphone conversation while I was waiting for her to attend me -Your weakness is the breakfast service. No menu was offered until asked for. My table was dirty and I had to ask to have it cleaned. You need to have different staff there.

The Hotel Atarazanas is exceptional on every level. The facilities are very new with fantastic interiors, and a knowledgable staff. The cost was well below average for Europe and its central location.

Adequate for an overnight stay. 20 mins walk from rail/bus station and on the edge of the old town. We stayed here twice, once at the start of our tour of southern Spain and once at the end. Breakfast on the first occasion was a disaster with no fruit juice or coffee left in the dispensers and the floor covered in spilt yogurt. The hotel is not in an area with a choice of other breakfast opportunities so we tried it again on our second stay and found it improved. Staff at the reception were indifferent but not unpleasant. The safe in the room was operated by the room key which also operated the lights. As there was only one key, it was impossible to use the safe in pitch dark. We had to go to the reception and request another key (both times). No channels in English on the TV (although there were some in other languages). Bathroom doors squeaking (both rooms).

Ideally situated. Some building work outside but used it as an alarm.Walls are thin so you can hear what goes on next door.I stayed room only.Plenty of places to eat outside.Near a huge market which was very handy. All in all very good hotel.Metro station nearby so you can travel up the coast.Only one euro on the bus from the airport.

+Good location, 5 minutes walk from the main street in the city centre. It is also opposite a busy local food market. Breakfast is served in the bar/restaurant on the ground floor.

Nice hotel in good central location, a short walk from the Cathedral and shopping area. Only downside to this hotel was the lack of parking and the cost of using local car parks.

+We stayed in the hotel on two separate nights. The room on the first night - on the fourth floor, on the main street side - was excellent, with a nice view of the market and - further away - the cathedral. The hotel is in a good location: very close to the main centre; close to bus-stops for the airport and train/bus station; alos withon walking distance of the stations (about 15 minutes). -(1) The second stay, we were initially given an inside room, without any external windows. However, the hotel staff changed the room without any problem. (2) On our credit-card statement, there seems to be an extra 5 euro taken off relating to our first-night booking. This extra charge was not mentioned on the bill we received at the hotel. We still have to investigate the reason for this charge - so check your statements if/when you pay by credito card.
