Honeymoon in Barcelona The Vincci Arena Hotel was great place to stay at. My wife and I were on our honeymoon and stayed for about 9 days in the hotel while in Barcelona. The staff were very friendly and helpful, we did not make use of the restaurant or sauna, but the lobby was a nice area with several newspapers that I enjoyed. The room was interesting because it leaned toward a modernistic-type of design, this made it fun. Overall a great experience, would recommend to anyone; the pictures on the website hold true to the actual view. Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks One thing that we enjoyed a lot was riding the bus, as opposed to the touristic bus. My wife and I did a bit of walking just to see the streets and enjoy the scenary and chit chat, so we decided to buy a pair of 10-trip passes at a metro station ticket machine, this was approx. 12 euros and definately saved us money. We still saw all the attractions we planned and had no problems figuring out the routes due to the excellent maps and accurate routes and times.

Really pleasant hotel Nice hotel. Located close to three metro stations so travel is easier. Placa espanya is 2 mins away and is a great tourist attraction, a spectacular water fountain show is held here at night during the summer months! The staff in the hotel were very friendly and helpful and always greeted us with a smile.

Nice but bring ear plugs The Vincci Area has style, courtuous personnel, a decent breakfast buffet, and it is well located - there are three subway stations within 300 meters. It is also convenientely close to Plaza Espagna where you can be dropped off by the low cost airport bus and its rooms are priced competitively. That sums up the plus side of the equation. The negative side includes paper-thin walls (or at least poor sound insolation), rock-hard beds, and lukewarm showers. After three nights at the Vincci, we could count on our fingers the number of decent hours of sleep... Overall, despite its many qualities, it is difficult to recommend this hotel as it failed to provide us what a hotel should - a good night sleep and basic conveniences.

Pre/Post Cruise Stayed before and after a cruise. A bit off the beaten track, but close to main train station and additional metro stops. Modern room, clean, functional. More residential area so not many restaurants.

Nice hotel, just not at a walkable distance from main attractions The hotel is brand new, has modern facilities and is in very clean state, but it’s location was somewhat far from the city center and its main attractions except for "Spanish Square" which was a few blocks from it. If you are planning to move around the city through the subway train or bus, then this hotel is for you because you have 2 main train stations just a couple of blocks away. If that is not the case, then you will have to pay around 7 Euros every time you want to go somewhere which in our trip translated to almost 10 dollars 4 times a day. In addition do not count on Room Service as they never pick up the phone. Nice facilities overall.

Very nice and great location Lovely hotel - modern, clean and well designed. The location is superb - 2 minutes from Plaza d'Espanya with all its links and the Metro station. My only quibbles would be the air con- which makes the room pretty cold when on all day (poss because we couldn't work out how to work it) and the sharp corners on the bedside table - watch your head when going to sleep!

Good value for newer boutique hotel Enjoyed our stay very much. The room was quiet and comfortable. A very good value for this newer "boutique" hotel. It is very convenient to public transportation including Metro stations and the main train station. Also walking distance to former Olympic site. Away from hustle and bustle of La Ramblas. Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks There is a supermarket only a 5 minute walk to stock up on water, etc. Also a great little coffee shop nearby where coffee and croissant are only $1.70Euro.

Excellent hotel The hotel location is excellent, nearby the bus station, within walking distance from the train station, in simple words, doesn't get any better than this. The room were clean and looks like new. The front desk personnel very friendly and helpful. The Barcelona people are very friendly and willing to help. Few things that tourist needs to be aware of, first the people(young & adults) smoke like a train, every place any time, second if you travel to Barcelona you need to speak spanish, most of the local guys speak some english. We stayed for 8 days without any problems and the city is full of history and historic places to go, Transportation (buses, train, taxis)is above and beyond expectations, train leaves every 2-3 minutes, buses every 5 minutes, taxis all over the city. We live in downtown Chicago, so we can compare Barcelona transportation system above our Windy City.

Modern Hotel The Hotel staff was very helpful. The room and surroundings were well kept. Negatives include poor hotel resturant and late room cleaning service. Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay Use the Open Bus Tours to get a good overview of the city.
