Very clean and large-room I went for the executive room. It was large! Even in American standards. This hotel is located a bit far from main attractions, but it is next to the train station RENFE and Metro -- which is great! The room are clean and appear to be in new condition. The view of the city was also great. The only downside, which appears to be true in almost any hotel in Spain is that the concierge knows nothing about the city -- they can’t give you any advice! (Even not in Spanish.) It is very bad, but I am glad that I anticipated that in adavance ... it’s a Spanish thing. They can’t read maps, and they don’t know anything that happens more than one foot away from their path from home to work.

The hotel was excellent but off the beaten path. Breakfast was excellent and came with an amazing view. (Top floor) The staff was very helpful. I did not pick the hotel - I was with a tour group. I really enjoyed my stay.

Good Hotel Get a two day trip on the open top tour bus, it stops all over the city and drops you at all the good places. You can take as long as you want at any one place then hop back on a bus at one of their stops that are dotted around the city. Also, use the metro, for 6 Euros you can get a card which gives you 10 trips on the metro. Well worth it.

+ The overall stay was magnificent. it was my husband's 50th birthday and a lovely little cake was left in the room for him - brilliant personal touch!! - The dinner menu for night time was not of a great variety, and was quite expensive. we only ate one night, and it was not at all satisfactory

Very nice hotel This hotel is a good choice if you don’t mind being a little bit far from the main attractions. We bought tickets to the tour bus which had a stop very close to this hotel so it was very convenient. Our room was super clean and the bathroom had some nice upgrades. Overall we were very satisfied with the hotel. Traveler's tip on dining Breakfast was a little pricey so we took a walk to find someplace else and had to walk quite a ways before we found a place.

+ Cleaniness and helpfulnuss of hotel staff was excellant. - On entering the hotel through the main doors, you were instantly hit with the smell of cooking from the kitchen which was quite unpleasant.

+ Location directly across the road from the main train station was excellent, staff were excellent at all times, views from the room were exceptional, size of the room and little extras provided in the room made the visit memorable for all the right reasons. - 16€ breakfast is a bit steep, as was the cost of all food in the hotel and the mini bar prices were extortionate.

Room was excellent, very big , boutique style, if a touch noisy at night.

No car convenience We enjoyed our stay at the Gran Hotel Torre Catalunya. There was no charge for the train from the airport to the Sants Stacione where there was co-located the underground and bus stops. The hotel was practically across the street from the stacione. This allowed us to see what we wanted conveniently without a car. It was modern hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. We did not use the restaurant on the 23rd floor but it seems it would have been nice even if a little pricey. The wind was gusting during our stay so we had to put up with a little noise from the outside of the building as it blew. Overall it was a nice stay. Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay The hotel has a nice book for local oportunities (shopping, dining, nightlife, etc.) Otherwise by a magazine that lists attractions. Be prepared to retard your dining schedule. We bought the 5 day Barcelona Card and it payed for itself in underground and bus travel, plus other discounts.
