In a fabulous location in the centre of the gothic quarter between the two biggest sites of Barcelona, Spain, Las Ramblas and the gothic Cathedral in the Old Town, is the Templers Rooms, a sort of B&B with spacious private rooms in a large apartment with shared bathroom and use of the kitchen. From here you can visit the city’s many historical sites and museums, and live it up at night in Plaza Reial or the Raval area, full of hip bars and clubs. This area is full of regal plazas and graceful medieval churches. The madness of Las Ramblas is right nearby- packed with people and street performers, this is the street with the most life in the city. The Mediterranean sea is walking distance or just 1 stop by metro away in the Barceloneta from Jaume station right down the street. Visit the Picasso Museum in the Born area or the zoo in the Ciutadella park. MACBA art museum, Plaza Catalunya, the Old Port (Port Vell), Picasso Museum, Aquarium, and Maritime Museum are just some of the sites within walking distance from here. There are numerous bars in the area such as Schilling on C/Ferran which has a great atmosphere and a charming décor with its black and white chequered flooring and wooden panelling- this one is also a local favourite and is not your typical tourist trap. For a hip café walk down the trendy Calle Avigno- Bar Venus is a short walk down on your left and has loads of great food and excellent coffee- watch the world pass by through their big open windows right on the street. Indulge your sweet tooth at the classic Escriva sweet shop right on Las Ramblas look for the modernisme mosaic storefront. This large apartment is divided into 7 private rooms and located behind St Jaume Square in the Old Town. This 7-bedroom apartment has 4 bedrooms with a double bed each, 1 triple room with 2 double beds and 2 individual rooms with a single bed and a desk each. There are 2 complete bathrooms in the hallway and a fully equipped kitchen to share between all the guests. The layout of the apartment is such that you have privacy in your own tastefully decorated, door-locked modern room yet you can also meet other travellers on the common areas if you wish.
