Silken St. Gervasi Hotel

+ Clean room regularly serviced - not the place if you are looking for a room with a view (looks out onto small brick courtyard. staff were helpful. would have liked tea/coffee facilities in the room. - Took us a while to find it! as it was not near saint gervasi station - would be useful to make the location very explicit on the website and info sent through. the dining room and bar were not very inviting - sited in the reception area so no atmosphere - always empty.

I liked my stay there, the room I got was pefect with a little terras. People were very friendly and if you want something they will try to help you. with the metro and taxi, you are good situated in barcelona.

Good option in Barcelona We have been for 9 nights and we were very happy. The staff is very friendly and since it is a small hotel you feel at home. The neighborhood is nice and secure, well comunicate with public transportation also. The room was very comfortable, clean and quite. For sure I will return to this hotel on my next trip to Barcelona.

+ Modern, pleasant environment. staff were always polite and very helpful. good location.. in a quiet side street with easy access to the city by 'metro'. - No. however, breakfast, (which we did not actually have) seemed expensive.

+ Accomodation good value & good size rooms, fairly well equipped. easy access into the city from el putxet station which is 2 mins away. reception staff were helpful. - Dinner was overpriced & the menu was quite limited. also they didn't start serving until 8.30pm - i like to eat earlier 6-7pm.

A PERFECT HOTEL, BUT IT'S A PITY THERE WAS NO BREAKFAST INCL.

We where ignored by checking out. The receptionist was more interested in talking to his friend on the telephone than dealing with us (guests who had a flight to catch) The staff have a minor knowledge of the english language and could not explain anything in detail. The hotel is relatively close to everything but a little more friendliness from the staff would have made things much more enjoyable. We expect a "thank you, come again" by check out and not the feeling that we spoilt his day !
