Silken Ramblas

Silken Ramblas

Avenida Zabalgana, 1 - 01015 Barcelona

The Hotel Silken Ramblas Barcelona is a four-star hotel set in the historic heart of the city, only literally a step away from the famous Ramblas. Located in the emblematic street called after ‘Pintor’ Fortuny, the renowned painter, artist and engraver, born in 1838 and the first great international artist of a country in constant renaissance since then. This is the ideal setting if you want to explore Barcelona at its most authentic, enjoying museums like the MACBA, marvelling at the wonderful Boqueria Market (one minute from the hotel), or strolling through a neighbourhood full of art galleries, specialist bookshops, artists’ workshops, legendary music shops, academic and cultural centres and creative restaurants, or a night at the opera in the Liceo. Inaugurated in 1992, this hotel stands out for both style and a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. At the end of the long hall you will find The Klub bar, with its highly individual contemporary style, featuring antique railings rescued from the Cantabrian coast. Two styles, perfectly combined in a single space.

+ Hotel staff very helpful when i requested to change to a non-smoking room - It would have been good to be able to select a non-smoking room at time of booking and for the hotel name to be on conformation sheet (hotel silken did not appear on it)this was very confusing when trying to find the hotel.

+ Communal areas - Should have been informed at booking that the spa was not working. the rooms should be no smoking, my room smelt of smoke and had i known it was a smoking room i would not have booked it

+ Friendly staff, good sized rooms - The price quoted on the website was incorrect in relation to the price we were required to pay on departure.
