Walking distance to Las Ramblas, the Gothic Quarter and many museums, this central location is ideal home base. Poble Sec area also has great bars and clubs, such as Rouge, MauMau and Apollo nightclub. It also offers a lively and quaint neighbourhood feeling right in the city centre- sit at one of the outdoor cafes on the neighbourhood’s pedestrian street and enjoy an inexpensive beer or merienda (snack). Walk through the beautiful (but steep!) park to the top of Montjuic and visit the grounds of the 1992 Olympics. Take a swim in one of the Olympic pools or bring a picnic and watch a movie ouside in the Castell (castle) which are frequently shown on summer nights.
