This was an excellent choice of hotel and if werent for the dipping dollar, it would have been fantastic value for money too. The location is unbeatable, overlooking the Ramblas and Placa Catalunya and right on the public transport lines. The tourist buses too start from right outside the hotel. The only downside was the lack of breakfast as part of the tariff.

+ Located near to airport bus stop and tourist bus stop. - Were rather disappointed when receptionist talked us into buying turistic bus pack for 3 euros each on our first morning only to find out that the turistic buses were on strike all week, we are sure the staff must have known this.

Ok hotel but the location is good. A little noisy at night but that is to be expected whilst staying in Barcelona. Bathroom small but large bedroom compared to other hotels in europe. No flash facilities here. Breakfast was average but enough to start the day off.

The hotel is very good value for money, considering it's position and wheel chair accessability.Very helpfull staff.

Located on the main plaza where transport to/from airport is easily accessed is the reason I chose this hotel. The downside to that is that the entertainers in the plaza are audible. My room was very small and internally located (so no view) despite request for outside room. I'm sure one's experience here is determined by the room you are designated, so ask to see others if not happy (as some in the reception area were.) The staff were helpful and friendly. The Credit card machine wasn't working when I checked out so they were unable to give me a receipt which they promised to mail to me when it was working again. Don't have it yet... TV channels were limited. Internet access is important to me when travelling and this is not availabe at this time.

+ Clean hotel in very good positionat top of ramblas - Very small room, slow lift, very poor light (window high up so couldn't see out and it only lookd onto a blank wall anyway)

The rooms were essential but good, the only one on our four country trip that did not have a hair dryer in the room. But their electrical system supported my 1600 watt travel dryer. The rooms were noisy but it was fun to be able to look out at the plaza and people watch and listen to live music. The hotel was in a waonderful location. There was always something going on well into the night right there. Accessing the hotel desk and elevator was sometimes a problem as one arrives there walking through a watch shop. There is not much space and it seemed like there were always people crowded around.

+ Great location right on plaza catalunya/la rambla and, given the location, extremely good value price

This hotel is in a great location. The rooms were nice and clean although they are a bit small as you would expect in Europe. There is not really any lobby or public space as you enter the hotel. The staff was friendly and spoke English well; however, they were not very helpful with planning entertainment as they didn't know the surrounding area very well. Not very helpful for dinner recommendations.
