Hotel Terramar

great hotel, beautiful view, good value, though not too modern The hotel Terramar is a nice hotel for a good price. I was in barcelona area on vacation and tourism, but had rented a car and went to the spain WRC event in the hills near tarragona. Sitges was perfect central location to many things and you wouldn’t need a car. The train is super cheap and about 30-40 minutes to barcelona. Hotel street parking was free, safe, and plentiful for my rental car, food was included and quite decent though repetitive. Room was clean and spacious and had a fantastic balcony view of the sea! Beach in front of hotel was one of the best in sitges. Hotel is a significant hike (~25 min walk) from the sitges center/train station. Hotel is somewhat old (old elevators, few power outlets) but in good shape. Pool on site and nearby golf/tennis is a plus though I used none. Did not have wireless internet, only one computer in the lobby you had to pay for (I would have liked to use Skype to call USA for free from the room) though cell reception was fine (picked up an Orange simcard). Hotel staff catered well to foreign visitors (german, English). Saw mostly couples and some families with small children. Highly recommended. Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay if driving, GPS is nice. good location for daytrips Barcelona (train) Tarragona (train or car) montserrat mountain (car or train from barcelona) beautiful drives (C-31 from the airport was cool) and wonderful contryside. or stay in Sitges, enjoy the beaches. All beaches were topless, if you walk past the hills south of town there are some nude beaches (mostly gay).
