The hotel Ingles is located on a narrow, busy street in the Gothic Quarter, just seconds away from Las Ramblas and Calle Ferran which is a main road full of bars, shops and cafes. Next to the hotel is a café with free internet, and just 2 buildings down is the Travel Bar, a famous meeting place for international travelers. There is a bank on the corner as you go towards Las Ramblas, where you will also find most other things you could need, like Pharmacies and newsstands. The nearest metro stop is on Las Ramblas and is called Liceu. Calle Boqueria is also the main street for wholesalers in case you are in Barcelona on a serious shopping trip! The 28 rooms at the hotel Ingles are all plain and simple. They have a bathroom en-suite and a TV and telephone. There is also air-conditioning for the summer months. Triples are available.

+ Its a very clean hotel with freindly staff. - The beds were not comfortable and i felt the springs digging into my back and side all night.

+ Pleasant staff. clean hotel. small basic room in central location. quite hot in august as no air conditioning but a fan in the room was provided.good value. - Didn't take breakfast as numerous cafes and the market stalls nearby.

+ Tha staff was friendly. it was easy to check in,and the room was "waiting for us". - It was very hot on our floor, and it could have been an aircondition, also outside our room .it was real cold and nice in the reception.

+ Overall,the hotel was good. you got what you paid for. reception was helpful, and tle location of the hotel made it difficult to be lost. - Rooms with balconies exposed you to constant noise from the alleyways below.

+ The staff are very nice, and two of them speak english fairly good. hotel ingles serves breakfast at a small restaurant next door. i never had breakfast there, but it looked allright. there are so many other places to eat at in barcelona, why eat at the hotel? as for the room; very clean and exactly what i expected for the price i paid. i traveled alone and was looking for a cheap, but nice hotel at the center of town. the bed is of normal size, a small tv is attached to the wall at the foot of the bed and above the fan, you have a small wardrobe with a small safe in. there's also a chair and a table large enough for a laptop. the bathroom features a shower with a sort-of bathtub. i never stayed much at the hotel, so the most important thing for me was that the room was clean. and it sure is. the reception is open 24h. i will most likely consider coming back to hotel ingles the next time i'm in barcelona.
