Cozy in Barcelona Great location. La Rambla was two blocks away. Big Bus Tour was one block away. Subway was three blocks away. Room was much smaller than I was expecting. I would guess the room to be approx. 9 by 12 including the bathroom and a small closet. All we needed it for was a good night sleep before our cruise left, so it was perfect. Very clean and in a safe neighborhood. Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay Bring your walking shoes and enjoy the Barcelona’s culture.

Ideal Location for short city break Out requirement was for a Hotel in the centre of the city that was functional rather than luxurious, as we would only be using it for sleeping in rather than relaxing at. The hotel met these expectaions superbly. The location is excellent for the tourist and the rooms are very clean and tidy, though not the most comfortable for those that wish to spend a lot of time in the Hotel. The beds were fine and there was a small TV, but no comfortable chairs to relax in. As I said, it's fine if you're planning on being out and about as we were. I didn't eat there or use any other facilities there, so I can't comment on those. The staff on the desk were very helpful and polite. If I visited Barcelona again I'd definately consider using this hotel again.

good location; could be nicer The hotel is clean, well-situated and attractive. The only concern I would voice is that the front desk staff were not particularly welcoming or warm.

We enjoyed staying at Hotel Inglaterra. The location was perfect. The room was clean and acceptable. Breakfast was great. Late meals were good in their restaurant. Overall, we would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Barcelona.

Excellent position Buy a BCN card and travel far and wide. It's quite easy to learn how the transportation routes work.

Comfortable but can be noisy... The hotel is what it is, a 3-star hotel. For the cost which is very typical European hotel cost, it is OK. I was told that I was upgraded to a balcony view deluxe room, and it was nice. However, it is very noisy, from the plumbing as well as the street noise. The hotel is in a very central location, you can walk everywhere (be careful of pickpocketer!!). Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks Don’t eat breakfast at the hotel. It is very bad and expensive. You can walk to the Universitat area which has plenty of inexpensive cafes (3 euros for a cup of cappuccino and croissant -- instead of 15 euros for non-edible food...) Also, walk over to the nearby supermarket located in the bottom floor of the El Contes Ingles department store across the Plaza Catalunya for very reasonable water bottles, sodas, baguettes etc. Barcelona is nice and plenty of English-speakers.....

This is an ideally located hotel you can easily walk to the centre of town. Despite the central location it is quiet and the staff discrete. Throughly recommmend it

Great location, clean & quiet!!!! Stay here if you want to be close to the action of the young Barcelona crowd, but don't NOT stay here if you just want to be a tourist and visit all the sights. Subway and walking distance to most things.

Friendly staff; very helpful The location is excellent -- close to Las Ramblas, Ciutat Veilla, subways and buses. The staff were fully bilingual and pleasant, and the rooms were clean. What would I change? The hot breakfast was not up to par, but this is typical in European hotels. The continental breakfast (cereal, yogurt, pastries, etc.) was fine. Traveler's tip on local attractions Walk to Barcelona Cathedral on Sunday afternoon to see locals dance the sardana. Not to be missed!
