Beautiful, classic modern design (just renovated in 2006). Staff was especially friendly and helpful. Located in a beautiful area of Barcelona. The architecture in this area was incredible. The metro stop is about 4 blocks away (let's face it, we all need the exercise). This hotel greatly added to our wonderful stay in Barcelona.

clean, comfortable and everything you need The staff were very friendly, the rooms were spot on. Clean and tidy.... The smokey see through bathroom door was a bit different and this was the only downside to the room. The complimentary minibar was a fantasic idea and no one seem to abuse it, only taking the drinks they needed. The hotel is about 10-15 walk from the station and about 30 minute walk to the main streets, just about right. Barcelona seemed a safer place with a lot more visible Police who seemed to be working aswell... Well worth a visit.

Looking forward to our return visit - to the same hotel! Tour bus a must for orientation. Skip breakfast at hotel, use local patiseries, half the price and excellent food and coffee. We enjoyed using supermarket opposite hotel to buy our picnic lunches of bread, cheese, ham, tomatoes, fruit & wine - gorgeous.

Just a few blocks from the Paseo de Gracia -La pedrera, Casa Batlló This hotel is very nice, clean room with a balcony, free water and soft drinks in refrigerators next to the elevator. The breakfast was not included in the price of the room and costs 12 euros, which I found expensive. Down the same street (Aribau) there is an inexpensive but really nice bakery where you can purchase breakfast sandwiches or delicious pastries (my favorite was the ensaimada, which we call pan de Mayorca here in Puerto Rico) and expresso coffee. This bakery closes on Sundays but there is another one on the street right on the corner of the hotel that does open on Sundays. There is a nice supermarket across the street.
