Central location - nr to Picasso museum Be careful in Barcelona - although it is a very beautiful city ....it is not the safest of cities ....bag snatched right outside hotel entrance having had the money taken from it less than one hour before.

+ Excellent location, helpful hotel staff. good amenities. - The only problem we had was with the air conditioning. there was a foul sewage-like smell coming through the unit in our room. it smelled terrible.

+ Nice experience, clear room, good breakfast - When we arrived (at 1.15 a.m.) they gave us the wrong room key, the room was busy. but then all ok.

Great location, friendly staff Set in a gorgeous part of Barcelona, the hotel itself was clean and tidy, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again however certain luxuries common to most hotels were missing ie. no minibar, no ironing facilities within the room, no room service and no tea/coffee facilities. Apart from that, the room size was adequate and the noise minimal.

+ The hotel was centrally located, clean and the reception staff were extremely helpful - The swimming pool was disappointing; the selection of international channels on the tv were limited (only bbc world news and cnn for english speaking viewers)

Value for money Arrived late in Barcelona and we were the last to check in. We were given a choice of two rooms at reception which was nice. We chose to be at the front on the 1st floor. Unfortunately our room was not completely ready. There was only one towel, no towels and there was a huge crack in the ceiling of the bathroom which had been plastered over but not repainted. This was not a great first impression but we were so tired we just decided to sleep. They delivered towels and pillows very quickly. The rooms are simple but the beds are comfy and the bathrooms are ok. It is a bit Ikea like but for a foot hole in Barcelona the location is great. We had breakfast one the terrace the next morning which was lovely. We did have to ask the staff to refill the buffet as this was not being done proactively which meant that it didn't look great in some areas (hot food). It's not a 5* breakfast but at 10 euros we thought it was pretty good value for money. They have a fab plunge pool on the deck too which would be wonderful after a busy, hot day sight seeing! Check out was smooth. They have a store room to keep your luggage if you want to go out before leaving and on return they called a taxi for us. As far as value for money is concerned we were happy. It would have been perfect if the bedroom had just been checked by a floor housekeeper to ensure it was ready to be sold and also if they finished of the maintenance to the ceiling in the bathroom. Overall a good stay.
