+ Gorgeous hotel, excellent service. - Room was over looking la rambla which was excellent however i was unable to sleep properly due to the inadequate sound proofing of the external door/window. i have stayed in a hotel up the road before, in the same position and did not have trouble sleeping there.

+ The hotel is situated in a perfect spot in las ramblas, and the roof top terrace was excellent. - When we used the bar on the roof top terrace, we paid are bill each time we ordered our drinks, however on checking out we were then charged a second time. this situation took the staff in the hotel a good 45 minutes to resolve, and we were left standing there waiting without an offer of a complimentry drink. eventually the hotel rectified our bill, with a very brief and a rude apology. at the bar in reception we ordered sandwiches at the cost of 14 euro, when we asked for mayonaise e.t.c we were told we have no condiments. would our group of six stay in this hotel again? definatley not!

+ We felt our stay was very private. we were never bothered by other people's noise. the roof terrace isn't done justice in the hotel description - it is fabulous and we really relaxed there, enjoying the sunshine and again the privacy. lovely rooms. - Our room wasn't ready when we arrived so couln't check in until 3.45. staff not overly helpful considering the price of the rooms e.g asked if they served coffee at roof terrace bar and i just got a "no" rather than alternatives being suggested or advice on where i could get one in the hotel!

I read on this site that taxi drivers don't know it. That is true. I had to walk about 1/2 mile up La Rambla to get to the hotel. Tell the taxi driver it is across from Le Meridien. Rooms are small by US standards but large enough for a European hotel.

Suggestions for the hotel: The SPA area (swimming pool and facilities) shall be improved (s.pool not available, relax space not present, furnitures to be completed ...); the climate (temperature in public spaces - too hot into the floors and too cold into the hall/restaurant) shall be equilibrated; books could be provided into the library.

Honeymoon Haven the attic ( a restaurant across the street) was a little pricy but well worth it fantastic food - our tip is to make reservations specifically for the rooftop terrace which is stunning and memorable.
