A charming, 2 star, 21 room hostel located in the heart of Barcelona, very close to Las Ramblas and the genuine Boqueria market. It is a perfect location for visiting the greatest cultural interest sites, shopping, eating out and clubbing, all accessible without need of public transport.Visit the Barri Gòtic with its magic corners and its splendid Catedral, El Born district, the seaside area, and the affluent Rambla Catalunya and Passeig de Gràcia… You will easily reach them all by foot. Or if you prefer, take the metro at Liceu station (line 3), which is really close to the hostel and connects the entire city.Hostel Ramos is located in a magnificent, 150-year-old building which maintains the original structure of the entrance and the stairs, conferring a very special charm to the entire house. All the rooms have been fully renovated and are very well-equipped, offering a complete bathroom with bathtub and hairdryer, heating, AC, TV, telephone and security safe. Rooms overlook the street or the courtyard; the ones overlooking the courtyard are indeed rather bright, as the courtyard of the building is large and takes enough sunlight. In general, Hostal Ramos' rooms are all calm and quiet. The hostel also has a living room with Internet for all its guests, as well as a 24-hour reception always at your service 365 days a year.

Great location! Great people! Felt secure. Area somewhat noisy, but trade off for easy access to everything is worth it!

The room was nice and clean, private bath, relatively spacious and had a little balcony overlooking the Plaza. It was also very nice to be off La Rambla but still very close to the Gothic district and all of the sites in that quarter. It was, however, very noisy so be prepared for that. The room itself was perfect, and there is a safe in the room for valuables. However you leave your key at the front desk when you leave, and the safe key is attached to that, so that isn't as secure as it might seem (although we had no trouble). 24 hour reception means you can come and go as you please, but still very secure. The staff was not nearly as helpful as other pensions I have stayed at in the region, and there is little contact with other guests. It is perfect for travelers who like to do their own thing, but if you are looking for a traveling community you might look elsewhere. The building itself is beautiful, inside and out, and it is spotlessly clean. It felt like a hotel, complete with little soaps in the bathroom. There are few "backpacking" extras, like breakfast coffee or coffee machine, community, lounge area or really helpful staff. It was a really nice place to come back to and I think very reasonably priced for what you do get in Barcelona.

great hostel, very clean and nice staff. was more like a hotel, our beds were made every day. room with rooler shutter, so we could sleep long.
