The hotel was of a standard that I expect for 3 star, not luxurious, but clean and basic and suitable for a city break. The only small complaint I have is that they could not provide a kettle in the room. Overall I would recommend the Taber and I would stay there if I visit Barcelona again.

+ Large room with half decent view at back of hotel, quiet. Good location, plenty of restaurants nearby. Minutes from Metro & Gaudi buildings, 5-10 mins walk from Pl. Catalunya. - Room air con could be better - wouldn't stay in peak summer.

Excellent Location, Reasonable Price Hotel is located in a great location, near las Ramblas close to everything. Hotel is okay not the best one, but thier prices are reasonable for the location . The room was a little small and the floors dont have ice machines so if you plan to pregame before going out, you need to go and buy ice. Also they dont allow visitors at night. Traveler's tip on nightlife Las Rambles and POrt Olympic

    (1) Travellers, beware that typical Spanish city hotels have rooms with windows that look out on a dark closed inner court of 5 x 5 meters, without proper ventilation. The A/C recirculates the air in the room, but does not bring clean air in from the outside. The windows are tinted and are supposed to be left closed to provide some privacy from your opposite side neighbour. Since the rooms are mostly tiny, this gives a claustrophobic feeling. If you have problems with this ask specifically for a street facing room in which you can fully enjoy the street noise. (2) The staff was very friendly and sweet but their control of the English language was rather poor for International Hotel business. Since my Spanish is unacceptable as well, we had some good laughs in communicating. (3) The breakfast was very nice and well worth the 15 Euro. For the price/location the Hotel is a very good choice for your stay in Barcelona.

Central yet peaceful This hotel was very well situated to many tourist and local attractions. La Rambla, with its abundance of tapas bars, sidewalk cafés, tourist artefacts, theatre, bus departing terminals and general atmosphere was literally around the corner. The staff at the hotel was able to communicate in English and they were helpful and knowledgeable in addressing queries. Many famous city attractions are within walking distance from this hotel. Even when we toured outside of the city and caught early tour busses in the morning, there were eateries open nearby so we didn’t need to forego breakfast (including MacDonald’s and Subway.
