We stayed in this hotel for 4 days. Its location is in 10 min walking distance from Rambla St. The lobby area is very nice and the staff speaks English and is very friendly. The breakfast is pretty good. The room for 3 is very nice, quiet and spacy; and the bathroom's equipment is excellent. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

The hotel surroundings is not very good, because it is an old area of the city and it is not well-preserved. Event tough, the metro is just a few blocks from the hotel (5 minutes). The breakfast is fairly good, because there are some options to choose. The reception was recently refurbished and is really beautiful and neeat, and the staff is very welcoming. The rest of the hotel is still old, including the rooms. There is a strange elevator in the middle of the stairs, a very old one by the way, where a maximum of 3 people can go in. The hotel is very noisy, with a lot of noises of doors, people talking, luggage being moved form the reception to the rooms and vice-versa.

This budget hotel is going through some renovation, but it seems endless as I have read other reviews from 2006 stating the same. The room was reasonable, small, not so clean in the first day (they manage to improve the cleanliness in the second day), with a good bathroom (new and well equipped). Breakfast was good and served until 10am (sharply). The persons at the reception desk were fine, but the girl that stayed there on our first night refused to provide us with an extra pillow – this was kindly done by the reception person the day after. The lift is quite old (as all others in Europe) and the stairs are not really appropriate for an emergency exit. Generally, it was a good option considering the price.

The hotel was easy to find and very close to the subway... the streets surrounding it aren't very pretty but they're safe :) the hotel is located pretty centrically, only two subway stations to pretty much everything, and with a lot of cafes, and a night club near. The common areas of the hotel are gorgeous, and the help staff are very friendly and always ready to help you out in anything you need. The breakfast was OK, only that after 4 days it got a bit tyring, they could add a bit of variety. The room was a bit dark for my liking but they were roomy, actually we were two people and we got three beds for some reason (not complaining) The only complaint I had is that we had a very rude cleaning lady. Apart from that this was a great hotel, specially considering that Quality vs. Price... I would certainly come back.

We Were 2 Families of 4 people, and it was all quite good. The hall and the welcoming were really good, but the rooms are really poorly dressed.... Of course we didn't aspect Ritz, but we were afraid that the doors of the rooms could went down on a moment to the other! However Coronado shoulb a good location in Barca, easy to reach walking and with metro...

Officially one star hotel, but it felt like three! We will choose this hotel also for the next time visiting Barcelona.

One of the staff member speak french. It's not a beautiful hotel, but it's clean. The area is practical, you can walk to the Rambla in 5-10 minutes. The metro is very close. The breakfast consist of croissant, cheese and ham. You can eat cereal too. Coffee and juice. It's noisy, but not like you can't sleep. Close the window, Barcelona is a partying city!

The staff are very friendly and helpful couldn’t fault them on that, Only gripe is we were not informed of on going refurbishment which is the result of low score on public area. Our room was small but the beds were comfy. I would certainly return to this hotel if I were to visit Barcelona again. A good place to eat is just down the road one block. Its a German type pub with pumps on the tables, so no waiting for the efficient staff to serve you. The menu is written in Spanish, but on request there is one written in English. The food was good and large servings, One word of warning we were advised to take a photo copy of our passport when going out as passport thief is rife Barcelona, is will be accepted when changing money.
