Confortel Almirante Hotel Barcelona

+ I can say that my stay at this hotel was fantastic. it was idealy located and the staff were very good. i do have to say that zian was just the most lovely guy at reception with such good maners and very kind and helpful with everything including where to go or anything we needed hep with or just a friendly chat. zian made our stay that much more enjoyable.

Great location, very close to tourist bus stop, and La Rambla area. Hotel room was very minimalist, but very clean and tidy. Staff were very helpful. We didn't use the restaurant so can't comment. We had a 6th floor room which was very modern and very quiet. Not sure you could call it 4* but for the price I got and the location, what more do you want.

+ Excellent location, friendly, clean. - A little noisy - thin walls. overbooked on first night and were moved to a sister hotel which was miles away and extremely inconvenient

Best location in Barcelona The staff of the hotel is very friendly and speaks English. You can get all kind of information there. The location is perfect. We walked from the hotel almost everywhere. The tour bus stops right at the hotel, metro - in two minutes walking. The Music Palace is over the corner. We highly recommend go there for any concert to enjoy unique atmosphere.

+ Excellent welcome from staff at the desk and throughout stay. rooms very clean, with plenty of space both on the balcony and in the room its self. - Complementary coffee/tea facilities in room would have been an extra bonus or at least this upon arrival after such a long journey. hot food in dining room for breakfast really does need looking at as every day these appear not to be kept hot enough to meet health and safety requirements. could you not also provide teapots for tea rather than just a tea bag which has to be left in tepid water which in turn is really cold when left for a few minutes for tea to brew and then adding milk. staff not very well trained on how tea is often drunk with milk for example. it was never on the table nor was it served by the staff. we had to get this by carrying the cup of tea (with tea bag) to the jug of milk left for cereal. waiting for it made the tea even colder!!! breakfast although reasonable would be so much better if the hot food was more edible if piping hot.

Rooms are quite noisy no matter if front or backyard. I had expected a better standard for the price requested.

+ Good position - In your inforation about the hotel, it said all rooms have air conditioning, the hotel told us that they were just heaters, not a tall happy about this, paying for items that was not provided, would lik some compensation.

+ decor, clean and modern - handle on bathroom door broken, air conditioning not effective, no english channels on tv other than CNN

- Rooms tiny and in bad condition

- We felt that hotel breakfast @ 15 euros was over priced
