superb hotel and nice people

Would definitely stay here again. We had a large room with a balcony. Very helpful staff, goregeous rooms. We very much appreciated the chill out area with free tea & coffee and bottled water.

Chic but not basic! My husband and I had a great 3 night stay at Chic and Basic Born. The hotel is a great mix of old building and modern decor - we loved the lighting and furniture. Our room was huge, with a large comfortable bed and skylights (instead of a balcony) so we could lay in bed and see the sky (although they do have shutters so you can sleep late!). The free tea, coffee and bottled water available all day and night in the lounge area was great and the hotel location is ideal for walking to all the sites, as well as lots of good bars and restaurants near by. We didn't eat in the hotel restaurant but it looked popular (with non-hotel guests too) when we had drinks there. Would definitely stay here again.

The 'white room' restaurant was not open at convenient times. Plus there were problems with the technology in our room. The corridors could do with being carpeted as at night and early in the morning it is very noisy. Apart from that it was a fantastic hotel and definitely recomment it.

- I had asked for a twin room but we got a double, however the staff quickly setup another single bed in our room. The room was ideal for couples but not friends sharing, the shower is very open, not ideal if you need privacy.

Nice and white in Barcelona Get a ticket for the bus turistic, it takes you to all the sights and you can hop on and off as much as you like.

A decent location and interesting hotel Close enough to gothic quarter to walk to anything. the hotel itself is quite unique with the lighting and room layouts etc. Enjoyable experience.

Good hotel, great location in terms of restaurants, bars etc. Found it a little weird having the shower room only feet from the bed and not in a seperate bathroom. Overall worth a stay but only if you dont mind losing privacy in the shower.

Will return!! Prepare to eat all the time, there doesn't seem many places where you can just pop in for a drink on an evening (unless you go into the irish bars - but then prepare for a squeeze!).
