Ideal location for a city break - in a pedestrianised street a few minutes' walk from la Plaza Catalunya and The Ramblas. Clean, comfortable, well-furnished rooms, friendly staff, and good service. Tremendous breakfast choice.

a bit noisy not because of his location (very central) but because of street works. the breakfast was not included and they asked us additional 13 euros each for a continental breakfast which we refused.

When I stayed there was some building works being carried out on a hotel opposite which resulted in being woken up every morning (other than on the Sunday morning). Would have liked to have known about this in advance.

Is the location worth it? Breakfast was ok, and staff worked hard. Hotel well located but generally seemed tired. Lift broken one day and water off 2 days. No showers or flushing toilets. Some staff very apologetic and helpful, others shrugged and said the problem was in the street supply! After one day we were given 2 bottles of water - for everything! No refund possible because of how we'd booked, but took the offer of transfer to a 4* nearby. Very big difference.
