+ Cozy and bright - The bed was horrible. it continuously rolls around the room even when you just sit on it! you need to get proper solid, strong beds that do not have those castor wheels that make the bed move .... all your rooms have these beds it seems, i am sure you are getting contstant complaints about them!

    - Stayed in room where ac was not functioning properly. we were in the extrememly small room for less than 45min and were told we could not change rooms because it had been used. we had to wait 3 hrs for a technician to arrive. room was extremely small. would not recommend this hotel

Kinda sketchy. The hotel is located right across the street from the "Clot" train/metro station, so it is easy to get to from out of town. But it’s also on the outskirts of the main city, at least a 30-45 minute walk form touristy stuff. (Or a quick ride on the metro.) The building smells like a bowling alley -- ghosts of moldy cigarette ashes. It’s a bit dated, but the desk people were friendly enough.

+ Nothing! - Very poor service! people working at the hotel were incapable, not helpful, very slow in comprehension and reaction and don't speak a word of anglish. we had only problems during our stay: firts with the reservation (they put us in another catalobia hotel than the one reserved), then with a leak in the room, and a room that didn't close in the second room (on the streetside, so lots of noise). lots of broken things: bad beds, hairdriyer that didn't work, problems with the remote control, bad working keycard... a lot of young people in the hotel (some kind of schooltrip) and they kept playing with the phones, making prankcalls in the middle of the night... worst hotel in this pricerange i've ever been to!

+ The lobby was nice - The bedspreads were filthy, as were the blankets. the shower head was installed at something like 5'2" and we are both around 6 ft tall. it had a hand-held option but my friend had a cast on one arm, making it hard for her to shower there. the hotel's price was ridiculous for the remote location. when i called the hotel one night prior to confirm my reservation, the receptionist could not find my name in the system and told me to call back the next day. i called them twice the next day, and both times they hung up on me. i got my current hotel's front desk to call them and she relayed that the hotel had some reservation problems and was going to move me to a nearby site once i checked in. when i arrived at the hotel, they didn't understand my questions about the supposed relocation to another establishment, which never happened. they wanted to charge soething like 3-4 euros/night for the safe, which was free in my previous, more centrally located, cheaper, cleaner hotel.

+ Hotel albeniz is situated in a lovely residential area within easy reach of the city centre. there are many reasonably priced bars and cafes nearby. i enjoyed not being disturbed by housekeeping early in the morning as i have experienced in many other hotels. - The room we had was quite small and it was a pity there were no other tv channels in english other than sky news. nevertheless, we are now very infomrmed on wordly affairs!
