The Husa Bonanova Park in Barcelona is a tourist class hotel located in a leafy corner of upper Barcelona near Sarria. This relaxed location is a respite from the downtown and midtown rush, and it comes at a moderate cost. There are several good restaurants within walking distance, as well as the metro stops for Sarria and Maria Cristina. Built in 1971, the hotel was refurbished in 1989, and kept in first class condition, until another complete refurbishment in 2000. The hotel is close to the shopping and business districts of Diagonal Avenue. It is also possible to walk to the home stadium, as well as the L'Illa shopping center. The guest rooms at the Husa Bonanova Park are bright and breezy, and the immediate, residential neighborhood is quiet. The nightly rate includes a buffet breakfast. The Husa Bonanova Park, Barcelona is simple and functional, the hotel provides modern comfort and an excellent value for the money. The hotel is convenient to fine dining, shopping and entertainment venues.

Handy if you are driving We chose this hotel because we wanted somewhere easily accessible from Barcelona's motorways. This hotel was quite easy to find and does have its own parking but it was full by the time we got there. They said we could park on the street but so was everyone else in Barcelona. What they did not suggest was a secure 24 hr underground carpark just round the corner which was only 4 Euros a day more expensive than the hotel parking. Hotel was clean and the rooms OK, but it was very noisy from people in the corridor and toilet flushes which did not switch off properly so there was the sound of rushing water all night. Earplugs definitely needed. Buffet breakfast was good and it is only a 5-10 minute walk to the tube which takes you straight into the centre. The area is mainly residential and felt safe to walk around. There is no restaurant but the hotel recommended a friendly bar which had good Tapas nearby and there are other places to eat in the area as well.

Absolutely delighted with this hotel. Room was a good size and very clean and the bathroom with big shower was stunning. All staff very friendly and helpful. Situated in very nice area and only a short walk from Metro and the Nou Camp. Highly recommended.

+ Breakfast was good for the price of room. We were given the highest level and it has a small bacony which we enjoyed very much. - sound insulation was bad, you could hear everything that was happening in the nearby rooms.

There are much better values out there. Desk clerk gave us a nasty smoking room on checkin and claimed the hotel was full until I insisted on a different room. Accessible from metro but about a half mile walk up a slight hill. Mostly residential area.

- The beds are on rollers and that I feel is ridiculous. The walk up the hotel from the metro is quite an uphill task, literally.
