Barcelona Center Hotel

+ It was comfortable, the staff were helpful and we had a good time.

+ Decor, ambiance, extremely friendly staff, quality, jacuzzi - Breakfast a little overpriced. booked a double room but got a twin with two beds pushed together.

Breakfast is not included in the price and is 17e which is quite expensive - we had breakfast in the many cafes located close by. The hotel is about 10-15 walk to Placa Catalunya/Las Ramblas etc. There are lots of shops in the nearby streets Rambla Catalans and Passeig de Gracia. Although the hotel is a little bit of a walk to the centre, the rooms and the price(150e on avg.)are good value.

+ We really enjoyed our stay, the staff were helpful and made us feel welcome on arrival. the rooms were very comfortable and clean. we would definately consider staying on our next visit.

clean, fine, in the center We spent 5 nights in this hotel and were very satisfied. Hotel is in the walkig distance of Rambla and most important places to visit yet quiet. Service was perfect. Room allso. Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks Barcelona card saved us a lot. Mostly for transport. Get one before traveling and use it from the airport.

+ terrace with jacuzzi, location - very dark rooms, no windows can be used in rooms which do not have outside street view, breakfast a bit expensive, but close proximity to Rambla Catalunya gives lot of options for external dining

+ Everything, especially the rooftop jacuzzis - No

We enjoyed our stay very much. Only thing to be aware of - during winter months the air condition at the hotel does not work. This means that if the temperature is high for the season (like we had) the rooms get very very hot. As a solution the hotel moved us to an exterior room where we could open the windows (although a bit noisy).

Work and play We stayed for a weekend before I had a week's worth of meetings. The staff were very helpful and efficient. We had one meal in the restaurant, which was very pleasant. The only drawback was the limited range of English channels on the TV. BBC World is the poorest of the BBCs channels, and at least one sports channel would have helped in the evenings when I returned late from my meetings.
