Good Service reasonable price Small rooms but well maintained. The hotel's location is superb. Away from the noise but close enough to enable you to walk to the key locations. Well recommended. I will stay there again for sure. Staff are friendly and breakfast is adequate.

Great location Get to the Sagrada Familia early, by 8.30am or earlier. Even if you don't normally go to the tourist honey pot attractions, this is a genuine and astounding sight. Well worth it. And buy a tube train ticket. 2 days for 10 Euros per person. Great value

Hotel Balmes If catching the metro I would suggest buying the 10 journey ticket or the day passes rather than singles all the time.

Poolside rocks, service sucks Great location and the pool was a bonus after a day of walking. The rooms were extremely clean and comfortable. The reception staff were somewhat distant and we were not given any information about the hotel extras eg where to get towels, the poolside bar, teas and coffees. However, didnt detract from an overall fantastic few days

Basic but fine and good location Stay off La Rambla and head into the old town (Barrio Gotico) for good tapas bars.

Go - but don't expect a smile! For a first time visit or a family visit, get tickets for the open top tourist bus. It may sound a bit naff but it geets you everywhere you need to see, jumping on and off when you want. And at 26 euro's for 2 days, it wasn't overly expensive.

Great choice Balmes is a great choice in Barcelona. Super sleek lobby with extremely hospitable and friendly staff, comfortable, quiet rooms. Great location just off Catalunya avenue,in the midst of great shopping and restuarants. Will definitely return. Traveler's tip on dining Try Cerveseria Catalunya, one block away, for excellent beers and tapas.

Nice little pool Nice hotel with a charming little pool, good to relax when you come back from a day of sightseeing. The rooms are small but clean and with a nice neutral decor. Make sure you ask for a non smoking room. The smoking ones are too smelly even for smokers. Nice and friendly staff.

Fantastic! I thought this hotel was amazing - such good value. It is in a perfect location - great transport links, near to lots of restaurants etc. and only about 20 minutes from the airport. Our room was lovely - on 3 floors with 2 flat screen tvs, lovely bathroom etc. They cleaned every day to a very high standard - I really was very impressed and would DEFINITELY recommend this hotel - was the best 3* I have ever stayed in!
