You're right in the lively centre of the city with Las Ramblas and all the colourful street performers, flower stands, bird merchants and bustling life. Las Ramblas begin at Plaça Catalunya, and is lined with shops, restaurants, galleries, and more. The famous Boqueria covered market is located right on Las Ramblas, and despite being a major tourist attraction, has the best fish, produce, meat and spices to be found in the entire city. Grab your morning coffee at the Pinoccio bar in the Boqueria, where they prepare it in their own unusual way. Have a one of the freshest tortillas españolas in the city in one of the restaurants lining this market. Go further down Las Ramblas and visit the Liceu opera house, which burned down in 1994 by arson, but then was later restored to its original splendour. They have an excellent gift shop. Further down Las Ramblas stop in the Plaça Reial for lunch at the famous Quinze Nits, the line is there because it is excellent value for your money, but moves fast. Further down the Ramblas, boating fans should visit the Maritime Museum which is housed in one of the oldest boat construction buildings in the world- a medieval structure which is worth paying the 6 euros alone. Finally at the end of the Ramblas, you arrive at the Port, stroll along the water toward the Barceloneta down to the beaches on the Mediterranean.MACBA 3 is a spacious and light apartment with beautiful typical ceilings with their small arches and thin beams. The apartment has been decorated in soothing beige tones and is furnished with wooden furniture, which is elegant and simple. There are 2 double rooms 1 with double bed and the other with 2 single beds, and 3 more rooms each with 1 single bed. The living/dining room is large and has natural light, 1 sofa bed, TV, table and chairs and a balcony with a view of the street. The kitchen is at the far end of the living room and is completely reformed in wood and marble. It has all the amenities: washing machine, fridge, microwave, cooker, coffeemaker, toaster and more. The apartment has one full bath with shower. This lovely apartment is your calm harbour in the historic centre of Barcelona.
