Actual Hotel is an excellent hotel very well located, just around the corner from Passeig de Gracia and half a block from Diagonal, two of the most important avenues in Barcelona in what is called the “example,” Barcelona’s plush district. Actual Hotel only has 29 rooms, all exactly alike, fitted with twin beds. The hotel was opened at the beginning of 2002. It is managed by its own proprietors, not a chain, again something that always makes a difference…In the design of Actual Hotel, a very modern and minimalist style, they managed to keep it simple and comfortable. The rooms have a wonderful air conditioning system, real sound proof windows, cotton sheets you wish you had back home and an ample bathroom with a powerful shower. Plus there is a safe in each room, hairdryer, satellite TV in six languages and keyless doors, they make a new plastic card for each guest. All of this, as common as it may sound is not found in many hotels. The staff of Actual Hotel, by the way, is most efficient. They all speak English and most of them another language as well.This sophisticated hotel is characterized by its great location, as it is situated in the heart of historic Barcelona downtown. Restaurants, antique shops, boutiques and modernist buildings are all very near from the hotel. Actual Hotel is the intimate alternative to large convention hotels.
