Completely overhauled in 1999, the AC Diplomatic hotel has large front windows with potted trees framing its entrance. Inside is a large, open plan lobby with marble floors, brown sofas and mirrored pillars, leading into the bar and library. The hotel's Zen inspired Nicte Restaurant has a wall of windows, Venetian blinds, cream marble floors, upholstered chairs and dark pink furnishings. It serves buffet breakfasts, and modern Mediterranean dishes with local influences for lunch and dinner. Leading off the lobby, the Bar is finished with potted plants and large modern paintings, and offers drinks and snacks.The AC Diplomatic hotel has seven meeting rooms for up to 120 people, and dial up Internet connections in public areas (surcharge). The hotel can provide in house catering. The hotel's rooftop sun terrace is furnished with lounge chairs and umbrellas, and has great views across the city. There is a sauna, compact fitness room, and outdoor pool. Guestrooms. The AC Diplomatic hotel's 211 air conditioned guestrooms have a minimalist style with hardwood walls and floors, large windows and original artwork. Nice and Central Hotel was clean and very central to all the major attractions. Metro station Passeig De Gracia is a 2minute walk away. Room was very warm and Air-con didn't seem to work but would stay here again.

GREAT place to stay. This hotel is close to everything. Everyting is in walking distance with a good pair of walking shoes. You can even take the train from the airport to the hotel. You will have to walk 2 blocks with your lugage. If you are up for a little adventure.

Ideal hotel for visiting Barcelona This hotel is ideal for visiting all of the sites in Barcelona. Just a short walk from both train and metro stations.

+ Very nice and agreeable hotel with a relaxing decoration. The location is also convenient, 2 min walking from Paseo de gracia and the closest metro stop. - Pool and fitness centre was not available

If you like modern lines, airy spaces, marble floors and glass doors, then this is the place for you! Set within the heart of Barcelona, the AC Diplomatic is set apart from it's peers by offering a minimalists dream hotel. You wont find carpet here (marble and cherry floors are the order of the day), nor will you find cluttered pictures but instead you are given the feeling that you might be in the year 2050!

Great location! It's a beautiful hotel at a great location. The only downfall was that the room was very warm and the temperature control did not seem to work. Even though we requested someone take a look, no one came by. Other than that, hotel staff was curteous and helpful.

+ Hilfsbereite Mitarbeiter am Empfang.Guter Service im Restaurant. Sehr gutes Frühstück - No complaints really only that breakfast seemed expensive.

Great location Very nice hotel, clean and modern. Only negative is the front desk staff were not as helpful as I would've liked - there assistance in train tickets was painful!

Elegant modern hotel in downtown location You can easily walk to the Ramblas, or the pedestrian shopping mall that runs parallel to it, or go in another direction and visit La Pedrera or the Amatler mansion, both nearby.
