Ac Alicante Hotel

if you want a good bsae this would be ideal. easy to get to by car. easy to stroll into the city. A word of warning!! one of the othjer reviers here said it was a seedy area! what he didn't mention is the ladies of the night ply their trade almost directly in front of the hotel! it didn't effect the hotel itself and i'm not too sensitive about these things but it is a warning to others.

This was a jolly good hotel given the price at high season. Crisp new, modern and stylishly designed, large room, designer's bathroom, air-conditioning easy to control. A dedicated underground garage. Such hotels, at this price, do not exist in the rip-off UK in priciple. We did not try the restaurant (too many outside), but the bar was fine. There is not much of a view from the window (an old industrial port sea) or the surroundings but I could not care less. A small swimming pool roof solarium were pretty handy in the morning. It is 20 min walk from the very centre of Alicante. A couple from Britain.

+ Very clean, cool atmosphere! - the noise the cleaners made every morning - also being disturbed by the cleaners knocking and coming in every morning, despite the fact i had the "do not disturb sign on the door"
