This hotel is does not have the luxuries of a 5* but it has everything you would expect otherwise - large, clean rooms; comfortable, clean toilet; central location; friendly staff. Good for business visits!

Great Place Good recommended restaurant is Porto Beer Restaurant, turn right outside hotel and about two hundred yards on the left hand side, very good food, reasonably priced and excellent service. Also just on the outskirts of the city there is an excellent shopping centre with lots of cafes and cinema and ten pin bowling.

Friendly staff; recommendable over-all Described wireless access in the booking text turned out to be available only for extra cost -> I found that misleading. Removing rubbish in the bath room and refilling of the utility pieces (e.g. show polish) did not happen reliably.

Hotel OK, but if you have a car?.... There are small supermarkets and cafes nearby which can supply your breakfast needs for very little. However, every restaurant stacks you up with un-asked for extras, so watch what you're "given". Despite looking a bit down-beat from the outside, most of the smaller places had a good and reasonably priced menu. The port wine tours are good, and if you buy a bottle afterwards they knock off the cost of the tour, so worth considering when you're doing the sums.

Excellent hotel. Service excellent. We were surprised when we arrived at the hotel. Very nice, modern, clean.Hotel should be re-evaluated from *** stars to **** stars.We are planning to go back next year.
