    Great Hotel in excellent location Get the metro from airport to hotel as it is only a 5 minute downhill walk from nearest station (sorry name escapes me but easy to findf on map). Get all in pass and use metro and buses to get around.

    DON'T STAY HERE! The room descriptions are deceptive. A "deluxe double full riverview room" is a closet (the bed fit in the room but there was not enough space left over for a chair and desk). There are slightly larger rooms without the river view....

    Great location at the historic center but... Hotel qualities listed in other reviews are all true. The view of Vila Nova de Gaia with all the port wine houses was specially nice since I have a weak spot for port. However, the heating system in our room was broken. It took considerable persistance on our side to get them to agree to move us to another room and this eventually happened when we arrived late evening from dinner. Also, we had asked for a queen bed, which our first room had, but the hotel front desk was at first resistant to get someone from staff to at least join the two double beds in the new room.

    Really good location, friendly and helpful staff. Would happily stay there again. No tea or coffee facilities in the room.

    wonderful river-view, but very expensive!

    We had a rear room (cheaper); it was on a pittoresque small street and was OK. Very comfortable bed, pillow and duvet.

    Fabulous view, exquisite pillows, very helpful friendly staff. Lovely buffet breakfast. Would have liked tea/coffee making facilities in the room, but apart from that, rather perfect.

    Best location in Porto!!! The area is very congested so arrive early because the streets are quiet before then. The hotel can look after your bags until check in time. The hotel has underground parking arranged near by.
