Tyrp Porto Centro Hotel is an excellent hotel. It's clean, modern and not too far away from the city centre and Sta Caterina (the main shopping strip in Porto). The hotel is a 10 minute walk away from the town centre (downhill), and the reception staff are friendly and recommended some great restaurants to eat at by the river. I would definitely return to the Tryp Porto.

Really impressive hotel facilities and staff Walk down into the city centre, river to see attractions , restuarants etc.. but Metro back or take a cab!

We had a triple room for 2 nights here. The room was nicer than we expected with plenty of room. The staff was really amazing and friendly. Over all good experience.

Excellent hotel We used Fodor's guide went to this discreet local restaurant, situated on the same road as the hotel. You need to use the street number to spot the restaurant, as there isn't a big sign. The proprietors do not speak much English (there may be a someone in the restaurant who may be able to help you) What we had (Acorda and clams with rice) were great. So if you fancy something less touristy, more homely style restaurant, try Casa Nanda, 394 Rua da Alegria.

Hotel was very nice. Helpful and courteus personnel. Room was very clean and maintained. Excellent climate control. Breakfast buffet was very good and complete. Will stay again. Nice downhill 10 min walk to city center . Metro station at 400 meters

Internet Cost 2 euros for 15 mins ! room service and restaurants and bar close too early at 2230 hrs and there is nothing nearby

Good hotel not too far from the centre - approx 5 mins from Metro. Very friendly staff, lovely room - great value. No complaints!
