+ Location - Low water pressure on third floor for showers, but what can you expect for the price?

After wandering through Porto trying to find the hotel, we finally came upon it, only to be greeted at the door by a hotel employee who explained that something had broken and the hotel was uninhabitable for about a week more. They ended up putting us up at the Hotel Inca (VERY different atmosphere than we were hoping for) for the same price we would've paid here. It was fine, but I wish they had let us know before we arrived.

Nice old hotel in old town, walking distance to everywhere, good buffet breakfast ! Hotels restaurant and garden are beautiful. Difficult to reach by car, but there's many parking houses nearby.

Ageing Beauty. Just walk - nearly everything is within easy reach. And if you have time it is well worth while taking the (very cheap) train to the lovely historic towns of Braga and Guimares.

Absolutely brilliant. The hotel was meticulously clean, very spacious, the beds were solid and enabled a good night's rest, the bathrooms were clean and large. The breakfast was wholesome, including the regular items as well as a wide variety of Portugese pastries. The location was very central to the Avendida dos Aliados, yet the room was very quiet. Conclusion: Conducive to a good night's sleep and a great holiday.

+ Fantastic old building with loads of character although now a little bit dated. Good breakfast - tv-set could have more channels to choose from
