generally, it's a very quiet hotel, with confortable conditions and competent staff Some building conditions are not good enough: if can observe some problems in the wall(humidity next to the windows)

Just returned from a fantastic stay at the AC Hotel Porto. We were flying with Ryanair and our flight was cancelled at 12pm at night. We decided to try and get a room at the AC Hotel Porto. We turned up and the room was €125 for a superior room (well worth the extra €20). I believe this rate can be about €70-80 if booked in advance. It was completley brand new - designed in ultra modern styles - very clean. The room was huge and the bathroom had twin sinks, an extra wide bath, double shower, toilet and bidet split into three rooms. The room itself was great - with a flatscreen TV with loads of channels, comfy large bed a sofa plus two swivel chairs. We charged some room service to our room when we arrived, and it was very good value for money. Considering we arrived at around 12-1 in the morning the staff were very friendly, and just what we needed. Breakfast is included in the price as is the minibar! Which was fantastic! Breakfast was a little basic, just cold things, coffee, tea, cold drinks, pastries, cereal, fruit, pastries and toast - but all we needed! The stadium itself is right next to the Estadio do Dragao stadium of FC Porto, which means that you get all the benefits of being right at the Estadio do Dragao metro station, which costs around €1.35 to get to the airport rather than €30.00 in a cab. The metro is also handy for getting around Porto, which is deceptivley bigger than it seems on a map. There are lines from Dragao to Matsinhos (15-20mins - beach), Centre (5mins), and to the Airport (35-40mins). I have stayed at many hotels around the world - including other 5 star ones in Oporto, and this hotel really is a hidden gem. You get 5 star quality for 3-4 star prices. I will definatley be staying in this hotel on my next visit to Oporto!!

Fantastic underrated design hotel near the city centre of Porto, next to the football stadium. Large design rooms with great modern bathroom, everything being spotlessly clean. Very modern individual AC system per room. We paid 75 EUR (company rate) including an excellent buffet breakfast with hot and cold meals. The ring highway around Porto is a few meters away, but no problem at all as we did not hear the traffic thanks to a great insulation of the rooms. The view from the breakfast room is very interesting as the hotel is on a hill. Great value for money!
