The hotel is not exactly "centrally located", it is more like towards the periphery of the city. The surroundings are more like an industrial/lower-income residential site. Not bad, dangerous or ugly, but definitely not the Amsterdam canals...Does not matter too much, since the bus station is right outside the front door. I would recommend a day-ticket, sold at the reception and good for all the public tranportation lines in Amsterdam. Buses and trams are very clean and not crowded. Very safe, even late at night. Not worth driving your car in Amsterdam, because it's very difficult to find parking. The hotel staff was very knowledgeable, professional and helpful. Rooms were large and clean and quiet. We did not spend too much time in the hotel and did not have breakfast there, but the common areas seemed nice and spacious. The underground parking is small (surprising, given the location and the size of the hotel) but otherwise well lit and secure. Overall, a pleasant stay at a nice hotel. Oh, and we liked the two plastic cows in front of the hotel: spider-cow and super-cow...Just like in the pictures...

After staying at a hotel which was on a tram line that ran frequently it was a disapointment to stay at this hotel which only had bus service that ran not as often and some of the bus service stopped after 6pm and on weekends. We felt stuck at this hotel and really wanted out of this contract to stay at a hotel near the dam.

I chose this hotel specifically because they were supposed to have an airport shuttle. Lo and behold, when I arrived at the airport, there was no shuttle. Very disappointing.

    - They charge you 15 E (!!!!!!!!!) for breakfast and since there is no reasonable café around we paid 30 E every morning for breakfast.

Very good hotel, however breakfast extortionate at EUR15 per person!! Very nice bar, relaxed atmosphere, great decor. Bar staff excellent. The odd reception staff-member a bit off-hand, but no major complaints. Watch out for the taxis....they love to rip you off. Should NOT be more than EUR12 to the city. Take the bus....very efficient and on time, and only EUR1.60!! Overall very enjoyable and I'd return.

We stayed in a double room for one night. It was a really nice hotel in a very convienient location and it was easy to get to the central station and the cantre of the city through public transports. The hotel environment is great, but our matrice was not double but was one for twin beds!Furthermore, our room was facing the highspeedroad so it was pretty noisy.Beyond that we really loved our stay there and the price was very good for that hotel.I definetely recommend!
