+ The hotel is exelent located! there is a gracht just round the corner and its in a street full of tiny shops (coffieshops as well) the staff is nice over all. - If your room is to the front its quite loud because the street is busy long into the night (cool on one side, but not if you try to sleep on the other)- the windows don't hold much noise, so the doors to the corridor and the walls to the neighbor rooms. in the shower on the corridor the ceiling was covered with mildew and so was the smell. toilet was very clean though. the room itself was so tiny but of course functional. bed was soooooooooft, not my type but ok.

The lobby is really nice but very decieving. Our room was the size of a closet. And you could hear everything that was going on on our floor. They keep our key at the front desk when you leave, which was a little wierd to me. The location was the best part. Right near the Train Station and all the sights are easy to walk to.

The room was nothing like the picture, there were bed sheets over the window, the plaster was craked and coming down and the beds were lying on the floor. It looked like they need another room so they cleared out an old storage closet.

Horrible hotel. I was bited by many inserts in the bed, and the quality of the beds is very bad. They didn't change the towel nor sheet during our stay. We should pay a guarantee of 20€ for the TV control. The walls are so thin that we can hear everything of our neighber. But I know, in Amsterdam, this hotel is not the only one who's dirty and expensive.

Pros: location; reasonable staff with good English; low price; 24-hour staffing at the entrance; decent cleaning of rooms and sheets. Cons: loud noise; tiny rooms; no breakfast; toilet and shower may be on different floor; somewhat dangerous stairs; no room cleaning during stay. Some good details: A young lady employee answered my request to change floor and walked up and down to get the key. Another lady listened to my complaint about a whole on the window and left notes for coworkers to switch me to another room next day (and they did). Some bad details: The single rooms I had were about 2.7 X 1.9 meters (or 9 X 6 feet) large with a tiny wash basin. Most windows have a round ventilation whole (R=14-15cm) on the glass pane which lets in much street noise, and thin walls let in building noise from all directions -- using ear plugs was needed for me. A bath towel is given on-demand. Soap only in the shared toilet and shower rooms. Steep stair steps are too shallow for any adult foot; one might fall down if not careful, especially when the hands are burdened with luggage.

+ The hotel location was excellent and the staff where very helpful and a pleasure to do business with. we were very pleased with the location of our room 102 - We stayed in a room with 3 single beds, the mattress next to the wall was very saggy and did not like the itchy blankets that were used as duvets
