I only stayed here for two nights. I was a bit put off by the fact that there was no porter or anyone to assist with bags, etc.. I figured for the price per night that would be a "given". The location was great - walking distance to alot of great sites and near several tram stops. Appeared to be secure, alot of surveillance.

+ I decided to book the bridge hotel though this website b/c i read the reviews and they were pretty much all positive comments. well, the reviews were correct. we really enjoyed our stay at the bridge. it is a little far from dam square but we always found new interesting routes to get there and found lots of neat things along the way. when i was in amsterdam in 2002 i did the hostel thing but at the prices of the bridge compaired to a lot of hostels, i would never stay anywhere else. this hotel was great, and the breakfast was good too. - I have nothing negative to say about this hotel, if you are stuck looking for a place to stay i would highly recommend the bridge.

+ We stayed in a tripple room which consisted of two beds pushed togehter and another single. the room was of decent size. not cramped at all and was very quiet and peaceful next to the canel. the bathroom had a shower in the bath but there was no shower curtain which was a bit strange and no lock on the door! aside from this small fact, everything was good. decent breakfast, comfy beds, clean room - i would recommend this hotel and will probably stay there again. - It was a little bit far out of the centre. walkable in about 20 mins at a slow pace or a quick tram ride takes about 4 mins. if you want to be right amoungst the action then this is not the place for you. but if you prefer to come back to the room, chill, smoke a spliff and just relax with peace an quiet its nice. the only other downside to the room we had was there were a lot of stairs to get to the third level at the back of the building.

The Bridge Hotel is one of those places you find that you will want to return to time after time. The folks are freindly, the service is superb and for what you pay you get a stay worth quite a bit more. The Bridge is located away from the hustle and bustle of the city center, yet within an easy walk to anything and everything you want to see in Amsterdam. I give this hotel five stars without hesitation!

+ One of the most comfortable beds i ever slept in! - The bathroom's shower was horrible. there was not separation for it so once you showered the whole bathroom got wet. also the water would be changing temperatures constantly, so it was really a hassle to take a shower.

+ If you're looking for a well placed, good value for money 3 star hotel, then this is for you. staff were cheerful and helpful at all hours of the day and evening, the rooms we stayed in were spacious (numbers 111 double, 114 treble) and clean. the breakfast was varied and frequently refreshed - no worries about turning up to find the best stuff gone. 10 minutes' walk from rembrandtplein - but quiet, and beautifully located at the angle of the amstel and a canal - 5 minutes from a couple of excellent bars/bistrots, and just round the corner from a handy spar supermarket. would we stay there again? i wouldn't look anywhere else. - If you want to be really picky, it would have been nice to have a bar of soap as well as bottles of shampoo/shower gel in the shower room, and tea/coffee making facilities in the bedroom would have been a nice touch.
