    The hotel is situated close to Vondel Park, very nice area and the neighborhood is nice , but the hotel is being remodeled, therefore, the bathroom are newer, but the rest was like an old motel, they really need to remodel!there was no internet conection;;;the great thing was the staff all very freindly and informative;;;;

    I stayed midNovember 07 and the hotel was being refurbished (completion due May 08). Entry was by temporary staircase on first floor, so not too userfriendly! Construction work starts around 0800 so have an early breakfast and get out! Otherwise, the hotel was clean and the staff were ok.

    Chosen for its Excellent location: the good price reflects that extensive refurbishment works are being done.

    Great location for Amsterdam city centre lovers! A pity that the building was under construction, but little was the impact on comfort. Friendly, helpful people at the reception!

    the rate should have been lower since the hotel was under construction. go after april 2008 when the construction is over

    Our first room (recently refurbished) had a desk falling away from the wall and a sagging window seal which prevented the window from closing completely, which allowed the road/tram noise into the room. The friendly staff cheerfully allowed us to move to another room (recently refurbished) with huge strips of wallpaper missing from the walls, and a bathroom with a poorly painted ceiling which had turned mouldy and cracked/loose/unsightly tiles around the bathtub. The position was great for access to museums and transport.
