Season Star Hotel Amsterdam

+ The location of the hotel is near to the central train station and our room is not noisy. the hotel staff is very kind in allowing us to put our luggage in advance before we check in as we need to visit our relatives first. :) - The only negative factor is that the air-conditioning is not working very well even when we have tried to bring down the temperature to 18 degrees. however, we enjoyed our stay at the top floor, we called it the room at the attic. :)

+ Staff were very good, the hotel is perfectly located and very clean and efficient.

+ We were very satisfied with an excellent (obliging and nice)approach of your hotel staff to us. - The singel room at the fourth floor, which has initially been allocated to me, did not correspond to your single rooms offer posted on your web site.

+ The season star was easy to find, only five mins walk from central station. in a good, clean, safe location, not surrounded by lager lout bars but still only a few mins walk to the more lively areas. the staff were friendly and offerd advice and directions straight away. the hotel itself was well run and clean. the only negative point was the room was a little small (but they always are in amsterdam) but it had a decent bathroom and looked and felt clean. all amsterdam hotels are expensive but i thought this one was quite good and better than expected for the middle of the road pice range. - Breakfast could have been a tiny bit more imaginative and they didnt sell wine at the bar for us ladies ! only lager.

+ The loction is excellent and staff were friendly - One of the 2 rooms we booked was not ready when we arrived so we went out and came back 6 hours later at 2100. the sheets had not been changed from the previous guest, the room was full of rubbish and had not been cleaned. when we went to reception , the staff gave us some sheets and told us to change ourselves. the room was not cleaned the next day either, or any offer of compensation given when the complaint was made. at the very least i would expect to have a clean room with sheets changed, so we should not have had to pay? we will not stay at this hotel again. the beds were also very old and uncomfrtable..

+ This hotel is in a great location. - Rooms are very small, but ok.

+ Staff friendly and helpful. situated next to some nice places to eat

+ Very clean, nice staff, excelent location - Smoking area not actually separated, poor laundry service sub-contractor

+ 24 hr reception. helpful staff. - Rooms/hotel not good enough for £160 per night. equivalent rooms would be £80 pn in london. no tea in rooms. tap water not very hot.

+ Staff on reception helpful when we asked to change rooms because of noise from street on 2nd and 3rd days - Noise from street in first room allocated, then only a 3/4 sized bed passing as a double in the second room allocated.
